J2EE - Servlets, JSPs, JTA & JDBC Developers Course using BEA WebLogic Server 6.0. Course Syllabus

Audience:

This course is the first in a series of three five-day J2EE developer courses offered by Aurora Information Systems, Inc. This technical course is intended for Java programmers, Java architects, and system designers who will be developing applications using J2EE technologies and BEA WebLogic Server 6.0.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this Aurora Information Systems course, students will be able to design and develop Enterprise applications using the following technologies:

  • Servlets
  • JSPs
  • Transactions

Students will be able to create n-tier applications using Servlets and JSPs in the lab exercises. Students will be able to set up and use JDBC connection pools in BEA WebLogic Server. Students will gain exposure to transactions. They will be able to discuss the ACID properties of a transaction and they will have used the JTA APIs in the lab exercises.

Prerequisites:

  • Java Programming Skill and understanding of Object Oriented Design concepts
  • Basic understanding of Internet based applications
